ROKUDAN THROUGH JUDAN

The Examination Committee shall be selected by a majority of the Board of Directors. The Examination Committee shall be made up of 5 directors who shall have, in the aggregate, no less than 70 years of training/teaching experience in Shotokan Karate.

The Examination Committee shall prepare the examination requirements for the applicant taking into account the applicant’s age, years of training in Shotokan Karate, physical abilities/disabilities, prior performances in examinations taken through SKI, community service, contributions to and support of SKI and /or its members and projects.

The Examination Committee may, at its sole discretion, waive an examination based on physical performance and may conduct an oral examination in any aspect of Shotokan Karate, including esoteric and philosophical matters. The examination may be conducted by teleconferencing, video, or such other medium as may be selected by the Examination Committee.
